This is how <a href=\"http:\/\/pigovat.com\/wordpress\/poem_of_dawn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Poem of Dawn<\/em><\/a>\u00a0was born: I wrote and dedicated this piece for Anna. Inspired by Nikolaj Kun\u2019s\u00a0<em>Legends and Myths of Ancient Greece\u00a0<\/em>(1914), I used the style and compositional methods of the Russian Romantic school, which I believed to be particularly well-suited to the warm, expressive sound of Anna\u2019s viola playing.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-id=\"73e36ee\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-73e36ee elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default elementor-section elementor-top-section\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-row\">\n\t\t\t\t<div data-id=\"4a12f17\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4a12f17 elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t<div data-id=\"6cc6238\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6cc6238 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-element_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p><em>Poem<\/em>\u00a0premiered at the\u00a0<em>\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dismappa.it\/il-settembre-dellaccademia-2013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Il Settembre dell&#8217;Accademia 2013<\/a>, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona (Italy), and was recorded, together with\u00a0 <em>Requiem,<\/em> for the NAXOS label. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naxos.com\/catalogue\/item.asp?item_code=8.572729\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAXOS CD<\/a> was released in June 2015; that same year, it received the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pizzicato.lu\/ergreifendes-holocaust-requiem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supersonic Award from Pizzicato Magazine<\/a>\u00a0and was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icma-info.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Nomination-list-sorted-by-categories-ICMA-PDF-format.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nominated for the 2016 International Classical Music Awards
